Reasons We're Grateful this Season

As we approach the holidays, we begin to feel grateful for what we have. At Open Lending we’d like to share what we feel grateful for: our clients, our partnerships, and the continuous support we’ve received.

We are thankful for our lenders who are trying to make financial services and stability more accessible. We congratulate you for helping your community by providing opportunities for those who deserve a second chance. Leveraging our data and default insurance, you’ve made the commitment to supporting your community, while also boosting your bottom line. Together, we are expected to reach between 165,000 and 174,000 consumers in 2021 who needed that extra hand up by getting an affordable vehicle loan. By making loans, you are allowing people to thrive and live their best lives.

Open Lending is filled with so much gratitude for our partnerships like those that provide the technology, loan origination systems, data, marketing reach and more that make not only our business but our clients successful. Without these partnerships, we wouldn’t be able to offer our services to lenders to help reach the nonprime auto borrower.

Finally, we are tremendously appreciative of the faithful support we’ve received that has yielded such positive results. We have had a record quarter with a 138% increase in certified loans compared to the third quarter of 2020, which was only possible because of the support we’ve received. We are very encouraged by and grateful for the continued growth in our credit union and bank lines in which we achieved a 91% year-over-year increase in certified loans in the third quarter of 2021. In the third quarter of 2021, we also added 16 new clients, of which four hold greater than $1 billion in assets. This growth is a direct result of the constant support we have received.

The Open Lending ecosystem has improved financial empowerment and wealth-building opportunities by helping those of modest means, poor or thin credit, go to work and shuttle their children to school, creating an economic environment in each of our lenders’ communities. That simple act boosts everyone’s standard of living, and for that, we are thankful.
